Fishing the Gulkana River along the Richardson Highway.

The Gulkana River along the Richardson Highway is one of the more popular rivers for salmon, trout and grayling fishing in Alaska. Access is very good for Alaskan standards and the river is very conducive to float fishing as well as bank fishing. One of our favorite bank fishing areas is Sourdough Campground, we prefer to camp at Sourdough Roadhouse & Lodge (Mile 147.5 on the Richardson Highway).
